CNBC ANNOUNCES ITS FIRST DAILY LIVE GLOBAL BUSINESS PROGRAMME

* Programme utilising worldwide resources of CNBC, CNBC Europe and CNBC Asia

* Comprehensive business news show to be anchored live from London, Singapore and New York

London, 15th November 2005

CNBC, the world leader in business news, today announced the launch of its first truly worldwide daily business news programme, with anchors in London, Singapore and New York. The show launches on 19 th December 2005.

Utilising the resources of CNBC Europe, CNBC and CNBC Asia, the show will be hosted by Ross Westgate in London, Christine Tan in Singapore and Michelle Caruso-Cabrera in New York. It will air from 10 am - 12 noon CET (9am - 11am UK), 4am - 6am ET in the U.S., and 5pm - 7pm in Asia.

CNBC believes that the economic, corporate and regulatory framework in which business operates is no longer domestic or local but is becoming more integrated region to region. In this environment, businesses need to find global solutions and take an international perspective on the news flow.

CNBC's global programme will deliver in-depth analysis of world-wide trends which are influencing those who are investing across international markets. The show will feature live reports from financial centres around the world, including London, Frankfurt, Paris, New York, Shanghai, Mumbai, Dubai, among others.

"This is the first full integration of CNBC's worldwide roster of anchors, correspondents and producers and the expertise each has in their individual regions," said Mark Hoffman, CNBC President. "As business conducted on a worldwide basis continues to grow, it is vital for viewers to have a front seat. Only CNBC can provide such an important service. We continue to look for ways to expand our brand globally."

"This will be an exciting and informative programme," Hoffman said. "The show will become a unique platform, which will give CEOs and other key decision markers - for the first time - an opportunity to speak to an audience, live, on a global basis.

As important to the viewer, a CEO or guest will be questioned by a team of experienced presenters from three regions to ask about vital issues in a global context."

The premiere of the programme comes as CNBC takes full control in both CNBC Europe and CNBC Asia. From January 2006, CNBC will assume full control of CNBC Europe, CNBC Asia and CNBC World. This is in line with the agreement in July 2005 when the companies announced that Dow Jones would transfer its 50 percent equity interests in CNBC Europe and CNBC Asia as well as its 25 percent interest in the domestic digital service, CNBC World.

The new global show will replace Morning Exchange in Europe. In the U.S. it will expand the programming schedule by one hour by beginning at 4am ET. In Asia, it replaces Asia Market Wrap.

The show will be under the direction of Jeremy Pink, who was named Vice President, International News and Programming, CNBC, in September 2005. Pink had been with CNBC Europe, the leading Pan-European, real-time financial and business TV channel, since 2000, where he was Vice President of News and Programming, directing the network's daily coverage. Before that, he was Deputy Head of News at CNBC Asia.

Elements of the new programme will include in its first hour; live economic data and stock market reports from Europe's capitals, It's the Global Economy, in which an economist fields questions from three regions; Currency Corner, a global interview with a key currency market expert. In addition, there will be a weekly segment from Dubai, CNBC Arabia Live.

In the second hour, it will feature segments such as CEO Exchange, an interview with a top corporate executive; Global Talking Point, in which a key issue that's affecting all three regions is debated, and a weekly segment from Mumbai titled CNBC India Live.

CNBC Europe, the leading pan-European financial and business TV channel, is the most watched business and financial channel in Europe. Indeed, it is the fastest growing pan-European TV channel for daily and weekly viewing, according to EMS ratings this year.
